How do I get started with DoseHub?

Getting started is easy:

  1. Download DoseHub from the App Store
  2. Create an account with your email
  3. Complete your profile with a display name
  4. Add people you're tracking medications for
  5. Add medications with dosages and schedules
  6. Set up reminders and start tracking!

How do I add a medication?

To add a medication:

  1. Tap the "+" button on the Home screen
  2. Select the person this medication is for
  3. Enter the medication name
  4. Set the dosage amount and unit
  5. Choose a schedule (daily, weekly, as needed)
  6. Set specific times for doses
  7. Add any special instructions
  8. Tap "Save"

Your medication will now appear on the schedule with reminders at the times you set.

How do I share my medication schedule with family?

To invite family members:

  1. Go to Settings tab
  2. Tap "Manage Sharing"
  3. Tap "Invite Member"
  4. Enter their email address
  5. Tap "Send Invitation"

They'll receive an email with a link to join your household. Once they accept, they'll be able to see all medications and mark doses as given.

Note: You can remove members at any time from the Manage Sharing screen.

How do medication reminders work?

DoseHub sends push notifications when it's time to give a medication.

To ensure reminders work:

  • Allow notifications when prompted
  • Keep the app installed (it doesn't need to be open)
  • Don't disable notifications in Settings
  • Make sure your device has an internet connection

From the notification, you can:

  • Mark the dose as given with one tap
  • Snooze the reminder
  • Open the app for more details

How do I mark a dose as given?

There are three ways:

  1. From the notification: Tap the notification and mark as given
  2. From the Home screen: Tap the checkmark next to the medication
  3. From the Schedule: Find the dose and tap the checkmark

Once marked, the dose will show who gave it and at what time. This information syncs with all household members instantly.

Can I track medications for multiple people?

Yes! You can track medications for as many people as you need.

To add a person:

  1. Go to the People tab
  2. Tap the "+" button
  3. Enter their name
  4. Tap "Save"

Each person can have their own medications, schedules, and history. Great for families with multiple members taking medications!

How do I view medication history?

To view history:

  1. Go to the Schedule tab
  2. Scroll down to see past dates
  3. Or tap on a specific medication to see its complete history

The history shows:

  • When each dose was given
  • Who administered it
  • Any missed doses
  • Notes or changes made

This is helpful for doctor appointments or tracking medication adherence.

How do I edit or delete a medication?

To edit a medication:

  1. Find the medication on the Home or Schedule screen
  2. Tap on it to open details
  3. Tap "Edit"
  4. Make your changes
  5. Tap "Save"

To delete a medication:

  1. Open the medication details
  2. Scroll down and tap "Delete Medication"
  3. Confirm the deletion

Note: Deleting a medication removes it from the schedule but keeps the historical records.

Is my data secure and private?

Yes, your data is encrypted and secure.

Security measures:

  • All data encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Data encrypted at rest (AES-256)
  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt
  • Row-level security ensures you only see your data
  • Regular security audits

Privacy:

  • We do NOT sell your data
  • Only household members you invite can see your schedules
  • You can delete your account anytime

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings tab
  2. Scroll down to the bottom
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm deletion

What happens when you delete:

  • Your account is immediately deactivated
  • All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • You're removed from all shared households
  • This action cannot be undone

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check notification permissions:
    • iOS: Settings → DoseHub → Notifications → Allow Notifications
    • Android: Settings → Apps → DoseHub → Notifications → Enable
  2. Check Do Not Disturb: Make sure DND is off or DoseHub is allowed
  3. Check app settings: Verify reminders are enabled for each medication
  4. Check internet connection: Notifications require internet access
  5. Restart the app: Close and reopen DoseHub
  6. Reinstall: Delete and reinstall the app (your data is safe in the cloud)
